The Edelbrock #1490 throttle cable bracket kit was specially developed for Ford 289–302 small-block engines with cable-operated throttle and automatic transmission kickdown rod. It relocates the original throttle cable bracket so that it lines up exactly with the throttle linkage of the Edelbrock carburetor.

For optimum function, the use of the Edelbrock throttle linkage adapter #1483 and the stock bracket is recommended where necessary. The bracket is available with a gold iridite finish.

Important: The Edelbrock throttle cable bracket kits only work if the bracket is mounted directly to the intake manifold. This kit makes connecting the throttle cable considerably easier – ideal for conversions or retrofits with Edelbrock carburetors.
