Description
Mopar ignition distributor limiter plate for centrifugal advance
The most common problem with original Mopar ignition distributors is excessive mechanical ignition advance.
To achieve optimal starting behavior and improved performance, at least 10 degrees BTDC should be set at idle. However, without a limit, knocking occurs in the upper RPM range.
This reversible solution eliminates this problem!
Simply select the desired slot and place it on the centrifugal advance weights – done. Example: With the 22 slot, you can set 14 degrees at idle and achieve a total advance of 36 degrees.
The plate features the following limits (crankshaft degrees):
0 (no advance, locked), 10, 16, 18, 20, 22
We also offer this set optionally with a centrifugal spring kit.
