Genuine Tecumseh spare part (Tecumseh / Lauson / Power Products / Peerless) from old stock. Tecumseh engines were used in lawn mowers, snow blowers, generators and other equipment, among others. Contact breaker points (also called a contact set or ignition points) switch the primary current of the ignition coil. The spark is produced at the moment the points open. Worn or burnt points cause hard starting, misfiring and incorrect ignition timing.

After installation, set the point gap or dwell angle to the manufacturer’s specification and check the ignition timing. We recommend replacing the condenser at the same time.

NOS – New Old Stock: unused original parts from old inventory. The parts have never been fitted; packaging may show signs of storage due to age.
